In those two days, you can take your Salsa Dancing to a whole new level…while serving as an ambassador for salsa-lovers from other cities & countries!

Program Highlights:
–Semi-private group instruction, divided by level
–Options to take single workshops or full camp
–High quality instructors who know how to TEACH as well as DANCE!
–Exchange and interaction with salseros from different cities & countries, and an opportunity to welcome them into the NYC salsa scene

Location: Champions Studios, 257 W 39th St between 7th & 8th Aves
Dance Camp Includes: Each day there will be 3 physically active workshops and 1 sitting/interactive (with snacks & refreshments provided). Each workshop will be 80 minutes in length, with short break in between. Workshops will run from 2-8 pm, with a new one beginning every 1.5 hours. NYC/NJ Dancers can choose to register for single workshops or for full days of camp, and can also request to be part of the Ambassador Program.
Workshops Include: NY-style Salsa (on2), Cha Cha Cha, Musicality & Use of Clave, Afro-Cuban & Rumba, Contemporary & Horton Technique, Spinning, Flexibility, History & Evolution of Salsa & its Afro-Cuban roots.
NYC/NJ Ambassador Program: Salseros from around the world long to dance here, where it all started. But for many, this scene can be an intimidating experience, making it hard to enjoy to the fullest. But imagine how different it would be if they arrived at their first club or party and some one they knew was there to introduce them to other dancers and make them feel welcome. And if there were ten people like that who were reaching out to them throughout their stay here, they would have the time of their lives. That’s exactly the environment we want to create for these dancers…and you can help us! If you love dancing, are a regular member of the scene, and have a friendly, out-going personality, you can be an Ambassador and participate in the workshops at about half the price.
